Dutch - Medium - Adult - Female - Rabbit - Minnie
Description
Minnie is a happy bunny...you can see it in her demeanor. She smiles most of her waking hours. She's also very determined and goes after what she wants with 100% vigor. This includes her favorite types of toys which are magazines, phone books, notebooks, junk mail, homework, cardboard boxes etc (be sure to remove the tape from cardboard boxes as they are a choking hazard). Minnie is smart and she enjoys sneaking out of the room, exploring closets, racing around, and stretching out full length, oh and of course, imitating a shredding machine. Minnie is also a bit of a clown and sticks her head in the pellet bowl just as I'm pouring in the pellets so she spreads them all over the floor. She also enjoys hanging out in the shower (when the water's off), sitting under her foster moms chair while shes working on the computer. She doesn't seem to be able to determine when salad is being given versus taken away so she goes after it when I'm putting it in her bowl and often times it ends up all over the place. She just loves it! We dont know too much about her background before she came into the shelter. We don't think she had the best life. From the skin folds over her hind legs, you can tell that she was likely VERY heavy at one time. When she first came into foster care, she had no earthly idea what a papaya tablet was. One sat on the floor of her x-pen for probably a week before it disappeared. Now she cant get enough (this should be limited to a maximum of about four a day or they can cause digestive imbalance). It also took her a while to learn to eat hay. Minnie is approximately 2 years old and weighs about six pounds. She is acclimated to one nice cat. Like MOST bunnies, Minnie is a power chewer and needs to have something to direct that magnificent talent towards, i.e., untreated willow toys, fantastic and varied qualities of hay, phone books, cardboard (with no tape), etc. Her litterbox habits are perfect. She is a happy, very very busy, inquisitive, persistent, but most of all, happy bunny. She is also very beautiful with blue eyes. Minnie likes to "dive for papaya tablets." Her foster mom puts a big clump of hay in one end of her litterbox and drops a couple papaya tablets in it. She goes headfirst into the hay pile and comes up with the prize ... and often a hay bonnet, too. It's cute. She is really a perky gal.
